What is the difference between genetic defects and congenital defects?

If something is termed a "congenital defect" it is present at birth. Example - cleft lip is a congenital anomoly - it is present at bith. Genetic refers to something that is inherited. Example - Hemophilia is genetic. If the mother is a carrier, she has a chance of ping it on to her sons.
