Where is the best vantage point to see planes at Gatwick.?

Hello, having been to Gatwick myself many times to see the landing aircraft, the best place is the perimeter road it is in the flight path of landing aircraft, you also see them taking off and taxiing. They come very close to your head, very drafty when the huge emirates 777 flies over :). To get to the road you have to p through the main terminal, virgin atlantics check in. It's called 26l inner perimeter check out spotters wiki. There is also a flight of stairs you have to go down , then after that you will notice the planes :) quite exciting :D
