What has been the reason for Harbhajan's decline since Kumble's retirement?

He was a genuine wicket taker for India in the first half of this decade and had bowled many a match winning spell in tandem with Kumble esp at home. But since Kumble's retirement,he seems to have lost the plot and looks all at sea. Has he failed to take up the responsibility of being the senior most spinner in the side?
