Is it wrong to think of public school this way? (This question requires you to think)?

I hated school also, because most of the children where I was at only cared about how many friends they had rather then their academics. I appreciated what it taught me, but I was always told an educated child can be the most uneducated without common sense, and knowledge of the street.
