Girls, what kind of book character PERSONALITY types are you more attracted to?

I believe it depends both on the type of novel and what you mean by "attracted." I think "love" in the intellectual sense would be a better choice of word. I "love" powerful, self-sacrificing characters with mysterious pasts and a strong sense of morality in Fantasy novels because I believe that is the best personality for an adult fantasy protagonist. For a mystery, romance, or other kind of story I would have a different set of criteria.
